Repair Café Success at Woodford Memorial Hall

Today, on International Repair Day, officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team were delighted to attend the Repair Café at Woodford Memorial Hall, celebrating the fantastic work of local volunteers and community partners in helping residents repair and restore a wide range of household electronics and items.

A huge congratulations to everyone who attended and contributed to the event. Thanks to the skills and dedication of the repair volunteers, many items were successfully repaired, reduce waste, and support a more sustainable community.

We were also pleased to work alongside our valued partners from St John Ambulance, whose team provided health and wellbeing advice and showcased the important role they play in supporting our communities. Events like these demonstrate the strength of partnership working and the positive impact that can be achieved when organisations come together for a common purpose.

The Repair Café was a great opportunity for residents to meet local volunteers, community groups, and neighbourhood officers in an informal setting, helping to strengthen community connections and promote engagement.

On this International Repair Day, we would like to thank and congratulate all members of the public who attended, the volunteer repair specialists, the organisers, and our partners from St John Ambulance for making the event such a success.

Together, we continue to build stronger, safer, and more connected communities.
